The WordFly Migration

Come fly with us.

WordFly is a completely new email application built from the ground up to support Tessitura licensees.

Developing a completely new application has allowed us to architect a system that works exactly the way it needs to. A system that's intuitive to use, feature-rich but not intimidating, and fully integrated with Tessitura.

Simply put, we want WordFly to be the best email application available.
Sure, that's a lofty goal, but we're feeling pretty good about it.

As we get closer to the finish line, we want you to have an opportunity to learn about migrating to WordFly.

Will there be new features?

With WordFly you will continue to get all the features you have in TMS, but all the enhancements you have always wanted. The features of WordFly came directly from the Tessitura licensees — seamless integration with Tessitura, interactive reporting, ROI reports, A/B testing, extended event data sent to Tessitura, and more.

When will access to WordFly be available?

WordFly is available now to all current TMS users and new users!

WordFly is chock-full of help tips and training videos to get you started. As a beta user, we will be asking you to use these videos to familiarize yourself with WordFly and ask you to complete surveys about your experience. We may ask you to do a brief interview with us as well, so we can refine WordFly for subsequent releases. When you're ready to make the final switchover from TMS, we'll move your unique IP to WordFly.

Email migrate@wordfly.com when you're ready to get started.

Are there changes to the integration setup with Tessitura?

We worked in collaboration with Tessitura to seamlessly integrate WordFly with Tessitura. The new integration points allow the systems to share extensive patron data.

  1. Tessitura Stored Procedure Configuration
There is no need to make any changes to the existing stored procedures. WordFly will use the WP_UPDATE_EMAIL_PROMOTION and LP_UPDATE_EMAIL_PROMOTION in the same way that TMS does. Once you've upgraded to Tessitura 8.0, these procedures should be ready to go.
  2. Firewall
You will need to add some additional IP addresses to your firewall configuration to allow updates. Your gateway server will have to allow http requests from a new set of IPs that will be provided when you are ready to get started. This will be in addition to the range currently open for TMS updates.
  3. WordFly Services
The WordFly services that will run on your gateway server will require you to run .NET version 3.5.

System Requirements.

For the best experience, there are a few things we recommend you do in advance to prepare for WordFly:

  1. Upgrade your browsers to the latest version of Safari or Firefox.
We prefer Firefox or Safari because IE 7.0 has known compatibility issues which affect Web 2.0 applications such as WordFly. For the best WordFly experience, please use Firefox 3 or Safari 3.
  2. Confirm you have JavaScript enabled and Flash 8.0+ installed on your browser.
We have leveraged both of these technologies to create tools that will give you more flexibility.
