What we love
City Recital Hall does an amazing job at matching its website look and feel in this email. The design is neat and consistent, with powerful images, smart button and icon placement, and a great background image as the cherry on top of it all. I especially love this case study because there’s a beautifully balanced progression in how much information is shown in three places: the website homepage, the email, and the event detail/booking page.
- Website homepage — Lots of events are shown at the same time, but little information for each one.
- Email — Larger pictures and a paragraph description is added for each event.
- Event detail/booking page — Full information, dates, pricing, and ticket buying link. One would arrive to this page via the website or email.
If you are simply browsing the website, you are shown a bit of everything, so it’s quick and effective. In email, you are shown a better version of this, given that you are signed up for exclusive content. This will essentially save you a trip to the homepage and straight into any event you want to see. It’s a service that’s being provided the way subscribers would expect. It’s what they signed up for.
